My therapeutic style is supportive, non-judgmental, creative, and utmost confidential. My role as a therapist is to empower you to reach the goals and well-being that you yearn for. By working together we uncover old strategies that may be at work to maintain areas in which you are stuck, struggling, and desire change. Unconscious material as well as personal strength comes into focus through exploration of your past relationships and life events while exploring your current life stressors, goals and progress, and the point at which these two areas intersect.
Therapy Looks Different for Everyone!
My goal as your therapist is to work with you in a collaborative manner to help you discern and reach your own personal goals. Therapy is interactive and based upon each individual’s talents and strengths. Each session and treatment plan is absolutely individualized allowing your therapy to be absorbed at a deeper level and more effective in your daily life. As your therapist I will assist you by promoting authenticity, self-compassion, and self-acceptance in order for you to come into your own natural state of well-being.
Each person is unique and I will tailor my approach to what may work best for you. That said, some of the theories I pull from, and have received training in, include but are not limited to: Psychodynamic therapies, mindfulness-based therapy, attachment, Brainspotting (BSP), person-centered, solution focused, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and expressive art therapy.
